I find my drawings are often the result of my subconscious, reflecting my impressions of people and events I've encountered throughout the day, my dreams and errant thoughts. Oddities, absurdities and wonders, imagined narratives and attention to detail all play a part in my work. In addition to drawing I also paint in gouache and produced intricate patterns influenced by Arabesque painting and architecture and use these patterns to produce tiles and clocks.

I learned to throw in graduate school and now primarily work in porcelain, often creating figural yet functional forms using both wheel throwing and hand building. Nature, the human body, animals and insects inspire me with their forms and patterns, as well as the geometrics and repeat patterns of textile and tile design.

Among the Schools I've attended are The Art Institute of Boston, the SMFA of Boston in conjunction with Tufts University, SACI in Florence, Italy and Radford University. I delved into many different medium to find my best mode of expression and find my diverse background has served me well, giving me many different ways to come up with the best solution for the desired outcome.

My best working hours are late into night, and the wee hours of the morning. It seems that the world goes to sleep and the lamp at my desk is the only one left on.
